About Xión Cuvée Tinto

Who said the Atlantic can only express itself through white wines? In Val do Salnés (Galicia, Spain), there are also red wines that carry the sea in their essence, and Xión Cuvée is one such wine. Fresh, light, and with that touch of freedom possessed by wines that have nothing to prove, it offers a different way to experience Rías Baixas.
 
Behind Xión Cuvée Tinto is Attis, the venture of the Robustiano and Baldomero Fariña brothers, who, from the heart of the Val do Salnés, work with an eye on tradition but are unafraid to explore. Three generations of vineyard expertise and a profoundly Atlantic landscape form the foundation of a winery that views each wine as a narrative of its origin. Here, the granite soil, humidity, and proximity to the sea are not mere backdrop: they are integral to the story.
 
Xión Cuvée Tinto combines pedral, sousón, and espadeiro, three indigenous varieties that find a particularly fruity expression in this cool, humid climate. Hand harvesting and spontaneous fermentation allow the fruit to retain its vibrancy, while twelve months in French oak foudres add depth without sacrificing lightness. The result is a juicy, Atlantic red, one that effortlessly transitions from a casual glass to a table laden with tapas, cured meats, and cheeses.
